Jitendra Singh Visen, who was one of the main people involved in the Gynavapi issue, has decided to withdraw from all cases related to it. He claims that he and his family have been harassed and felt humiliated, and therefore cannot continue the fight for what he believes in. His lawyer, Shivam Gaur, has also withdrawn from the case due to a communication gap with plaintiffs.

Visen had filed a suit along with five other women in August 2021, seeking permission for daily worship of Goddess Shringar Gauri and other deities in the Gyanvapi mosque compound. However, differences appeared between Visen and the lawyers of the four other plaintiffs in May 2022.
