The recent appointment of Chittorgarh MP C.P. Joshi as the state president of the Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has led to speculation about new political alliances forming within the party. This is evident from the new posters that have been put up outside the BJP state party headquarters in Jaipur. These posters feature former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s picture, which was removed when Satish Poonia became the party president in Rajasthan. However, Raje’s picture was included again in the posters when BJP national president J.P. Nadda visited Rajasthan in January this year, sparking discussions about changes in party politics.

The latest posters outside the party office have removed Satish Poonia’s picture and retained Vasundhara Raje’s picture alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and newly appointed state chief C.P. Joshi. Interestingly, Satish Poonia’s picture had been on the hoardings at the BJP headquarters for the last three years.

The removal of Satish Poonia’s picture from the posters has triggered fresh discussions among political circles about the new political equations being formed within the Rajasthan unit of the BJP. With C.P. Joshi as the new state president, it remains to be seen how the party politics in Rajasthan will shape up in the coming days.
