    Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy met with Union water resources minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to discuss irrigation projects in their state, including the Polavaram project.

    During the NITI Aayog Governing Council session, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for sustained investments in infrastructure to ensure economic progress. He noted that logistics account for a high percentage of India’s GDP, which hinders growth and competitiveness. The Chief Minister submitted a note on the steps taken to strengthen logistics, public health, skill development, and women’s empowerment in their state.

    The Chief Minister highlighted the need for a conducive business environment, attracting investments, and promoting new technologies to increase agricultural productivity and food self-sufficiency. AP has topped the Ease of Doing Business rankings for three consecutive years. The Global Investors Summit 2023 in Visakhapatnam received a commitment of Rs 13 lakh crore in investments.

    The Chief Minister stressed the importance of public health and identifying diseases early. They launched the Family Doctor Program and established village and ward clinics with essential drugs and diagnostic labs. They also recruited new doctors and equipped teaching hospitals with enough staff.

    The Chief Minister suggested introducing new subjects to school curriculums to keep up with technological changes. They also highlighted the need for women’s empowerment, and their state has been providing interest-free bank loans to self-help groups.

    The Chief Minister urged all states to work together and stand united for the welfare of the country and states.
