The Supreme Court of India has stopped the West Bengal government from banning the film ‘The Kerala Story’. The decision was made on Thursday by a panel of judges led by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud. The government had passed an order on May 8th to prevent the film from being shown in cinemas.

The judges have also instructed Tamil Nadu to provide security to all cinema halls showing ‘The Kerala Story’, to ensure the safety of those watching the film. The state has been told not to prevent the screening of the film in any way.
