Use of Drone in Hoshiarpur for Locating Amritpal

Police in Hoshiarpur district have deployed a drone in the search for radical preacher Amritpal Singh, who remains untraceable. The drone was used in Marnaian village, where suspects abandoned a car following a police chase two days ago. Paramilitary personnel have also been deployed in and around the village, and police have conducted a door-to-door search operation. Singh has been on the run since a police crackdown against him and members of his pro-Khalistan ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit began on 18 March. He and his associates have been booked under several criminal cases. Reports suggest that Singh may surrender after entering either the Golden Temple or the Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
