Police Encounter Rowdy Sheeter Riyaz at Nizamabad Hospital, DGP Responds

Rowdy Sheeter Riyaz was encountered by the police at a hospital in Nizamabad. The encounter occurred as he was attempting to escape, while receiving treatment. The Director-General of Police, Shivdhar Reddy has since addressed the situation, clarifying the circumstances of the encounter.

As per the reports, the AR constable stationed outside Riyaz’s room faced an unexpected threat when Riyaz tried to snatch his gun. In the ensuing scuffle, Riyaz managed to secure the weapon and attempted to open fire at the police officials present.

DGP Shivdhar Reddy, in his statement, indicated that had Riyaz been successful in firing the weapon, it could have led to a loss of several lives. The decision to carry out the encounter was thus, primarily to protect the lives of the people present at the hospital.

Reddy said, “The encounter was carried out as part of the effort to protect the lives of the people.”

While the incident has stirred controversy, the DGP’s statement has shed light on the severity of the situation. The police force was left with no alternative but to neutralize the threat that Riyaz posed, to ensure the safety of the public.

It is vital to note that the police department is tasked with maintaining law and order, and preserving the security of the citizens. In extreme circumstances like these, their actions are dictated by the need to safeguard innocent lives.
