Recent heavy rains caused flooding at the Husnabad Bus Station, according to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. He advised officials to build a link canal to prevent future flooding. The minister inspected the affected areas and emphasized the need for measures to avoid inconvenience for passengers at the bus station in the future.
Afterward, he visited the Husnabad Market Committee and instructed that the purchase of grain be completed swiftly. He ordered officials to ensure that payments reach farmers’ accounts within 48 hours of loading the grain. He noted that all the rain-soaked grain had been purchased and payments were credited to the farmers’ accounts.
The event was attended by Lingamurthy, Chairman of the Library Organization, Tirupati Reddy, Chairman of the Husnabad Market Committee, along with other key leaders and officials. Prior to this, in the Ellamma Lake within the Husnabad constituency, the minister, along with fellow minister Vakati Srihari and Fisheries Chairman Mettu Saikumarl, ceremonially launched the free distribution of fish seedlings. A total of 300,000 fish seedlings, costing 5.17 lakh rupees, were released into the lake.
