Wanaparthy District: H.S.J. Anil Kumar Jukanti, a judge from the Telangana High Court, visited Wanaparthy district on Saturday. District Collector Adarsh Surabhi welcomed him warmly at the R&B guest house.
During their conversation, the judge emphasized the need for raising awareness about the POCSO Act to ensure child protection.
The District Collector, alongside the District Judge, examined a 20-acre plot in Survey No. 200 near Nagavaram. This site is designated for a new court building. The High Court Judge also reviewed the proposed Atmakur – Pebberu bypass road and advised the District Collector to slightly adjust its alignment.
Several officials, including Wanaparthy District Judge M.R. Sunitha, Additional Collector Revenue N. Khimya Nayak, and Senior Civil Judges Kalaarchana, Rajani, and Ashwini, joined the High Court judge. Also present were High Court Bar Association President Jagan, District Court Bar Association President Kiran Kumar, RDO Subramaniam, and Roads and Buildings Engineer Deshya Nayak.
