V C Sajjanar, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, visited Madannapet Police Station today. This was his first visit since taking on his new role. During this surprise check, he looked into ongoing cases, the station’s activities, community peace, and how the station is managed.
He talked with the staff, emphasizing the need for discipline, regular attendance, and organized record-keeping. Sajjanar stressed the importance of “People Welfare Policing.” His goal is to boost both public safety and trust in the city. He wants to focus on peace, traffic safety, protecting women and children, using AI in policing, tackling cybercrime, offering round-the-clock services, and improving police welfare.
Sajjanar insisted that everyone visiting a police station deserves respect. He urged quick case registration, especially for women, and fast investigations to ensure justice is served promptly.
A touching moment happened when Azeemuddin Farooq, father of Sumayya, a recent murder victim, thanked Sajjanar for the rapid investigation and arrest of the suspect.
Additionally, Sajjanar checked sensitive areas in Madannapet. He reviewed police pickets and CCTV systems. He assured the locals of the police’s commitment to their safety and justice. Senior officers Tafseer Iqubal, Apoorva Rao, and S Chaitanya Kumar joined him during the visit.
