Governor Jishnudev Verma delivered a powerful message to graduates during Satavahana University’s second convocation ceremony on Friday. He urged students to look beyond just getting good grades and focus on building real skills for the future.
The Governor spoke at the ceremony held in Karimnagar district, emphasizing that discipline should guide students while curiosity drives them forward. He stressed that never-ending learning forms the foundation of true success in any field.
During his address, Verma highlighted how important NAAC and NIRF rankings are for universities. He pushed the institution to reach higher standards and improve its national standing among educational institutions.
Satavahana University serves students from central and rural parts of Telangana state. The Governor pointed out that this young university must work harder to blend fairness with new ideas to help students succeed in their careers.
He called for better facilities and infrastructure to support student dreams and ambitions. The Governor wants the university to provide everything students need to excel in their chosen fields.
Quoting former President Abdul Kalam, Verma reminded graduates that education provides wings to soar high. He encouraged them to face challenges with bravery and help build a stronger India through their future work.
Professor BJ Rao from Hyderabad Central University praised Satavahana University for its excellent work. He highlighted how the institution empowers young people from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds through quality higher education.
Professor Rao also appreciated the university’s smart approach to starting new programs. These include M.Pharmacy, LLB, and BTech courses that match what industries and society actually need today.
Professor Umesh Kumar, the university’s Vice Chancellor, shared exciting news about funding. He revealed that Telugu NRIs living in the US are providing significant donations and sponsorship to support the institution’s growth.
Starting from 2025-26, the university will launch several new degree programs. These include M.Pharmacy, LLB (3YDC), LLM in Intellectual Property Law, and B.Tech courses in computer science, artificial intelligence, information technology, electronics, and biotechnology.
The ceremony concluded with 161 talented students receiving gold medals for their outstanding performance. Additionally, 25 PhD students were awarded their doctoral degrees, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.
