Nagarkurnool (Peddakottapally): Agriculture officials in Nagarkurnool district took steps to help farmers during the busy farming season. They distributed 230 bags of urea, which were confiscated from the Arunodaya Fertilizer Shop in Peddakothapally. Farmers could buy these bags at the official rate of Rs 267 each on Saturday, avoiding high black-market prices.
The authorities acted after finding issues at the fertilizer shop. They quickly redirected the urea to farmers to ensure crops were not affected. Farmers felt relieved, as the urea supply allowed them to continue their work smoothly.
Officials promised to keep a close watch across the district to stop illegal stockpiling and black-market sales of fertilizers. They warned traders against unlawful practices and assured farmers that there are enough fertilizer stocks to meet current needs.
