Nizamabad: On Monday, State Government Advisor Mohammed Shabbir Ali distributed ration cards in Nizamabad, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fulfilling election promises.
Shabbir Ali criticized the previous administration for not issuing any ration cards over ten years. He highlighted that the current government is actively distributing them and assured that eligible individuals who haven’t received a card yet should apply without worry.
He confirmed that every qualifying family would receive a ration card. In Nizamabad district, 11,852 new cards have been issued, and 84,232 individuals were added to the list. Specifically, 3,174 families in the North and South mandals of Nizamabad Urban received new cards, with 16,687 new registrations.
Despite inheriting a Rs 7.80 lakh crore debt from the previous government, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy prioritizes keeping promises. Initiatives like free bus travel for women, distribution of fine rice, Indiramma houses, a Rs 22,000 crore loan waiver for farmers, Rythu Bandhu funds of Rs 9,000 crore, Rs 500 cooking gas cylinders, and 200 units of free electricity demonstrate the government’s dedication.
Shabbir Ali noted that Telangana uniquely provides fine rice, unlike other states, including those led by the BJP. The government has also sanctioned 3,500 houses per constituency, offering Rs 5 lakh per beneficiary. He urged beneficiaries not to pay anyone for Indiramma houses and encouraged reporting any demands for money.
Additional Collector Ankit stated that the ration card distribution is transparent, with rigorous checks ensuring only the eligible receive cards. Application verification continues to make sure deserving families get their cards.
The event saw participation from State Urdu Academy Chairman Taher Bin Hamdan, State Cooperative Societies Union Chairman Manala Mohan Reddy, State Agriculture Commission Member Gadugu Gangadhar, Nuda Chairman Kesha Venu, District Library Chairman Antireddy Rajireddy, former MLC Akula Lalitha, Nizamabad RDO Rajendra Kumar, DSO Arvind Reddy, and local Tehsildars Balaraju and Vijay Kant, along with various departmental officers and beneficiaries.
