Hyderabad: Dr. Mohammad Abdul Qadeer, who leads the Shaheen Group of Educational Institutions, condemned false accusations and inappropriate videos on social media. These attempts aim to blackmail and mislead the public. He promised legal action against those attacking minority educational institutions committed to offering education and cultural values.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer shared that the Shaheen Group started 36 years ago with just one classroom. Now, it has branches across every state in India, educating over 45,000 students. Many Shaheen students gain admission to government medical colleges through merit, securing one percent of free medical seats nationwide.
For over 30 years, Shaheen has also focused on social reform. Bidar district now offers free tuition due to their efforts. Shaheen runs campaigns against drugs, tobacco, and wasteful wedding expenses, and discourages extreme fashion trends. The Bidar campus houses 6,000 students, including Hafiz-e-Quran, in a setting praised for community harmony.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer said these successes have upset some, leading to false rumors about the institution. He mentioned Alam Pasha, a cleric from Bengaluru, who shared misleading videos accusing Shaheen of misusing scholarships. In response, Shaheen Group sent a legal notice to Pasha, demanding an apology and video removal within three days, or face a Rs 10 crore penalty. Dr. Abdul Qadeer usually ignores negative comments but felt the need to protect Shaheen’s reputation globally.
He addressed another viral video showing complaints about hostel food. Dr. Abdul Qadeer clarified that all 6,000 hostel residents, including staff, eat the same food. While there might be complaints, proper channels exist for resolution. Sharing such videos seems like an intentional move to damage the institution’s credibility.
Regarding allegations of collecting funds via charity boxes, Dr. Abdul Qadeer explained that Bidar’s 137 mosques manage programs like Mosque Study Circles and Mosque Healthcare. Donations from household charity boxes support those in need and, as per divine assurance, protect donors from disasters.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer encouraged social media users to focus on positive and constructive actions, warning that negative campaigns could have adverse effects on their own futures.
