The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) employees and workers in Khammam are going to get their 23 months arrears soon. The Eleventh Wage Board has recommended this. Over 40,000 employees will receive a total of Rs 1,726 crore as arrears. On average, each worker will get around Rs 4 lakh. The arrears will be given in two instalments within a month. The calculation of salary arrears has already started with the coordination of various departments. Current employees will be paid first, followed by retired workers receiving their arrears shortly after.
