A group from the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) in Telangana, led by State Secretary Mohd Hammaduddin, met with Adluri Laxman Kumar, the Minister for Minority Welfare and Dharmapuri MLA. They discussed the critical delay in scholarship and fee reimbursement for students under the RTF and MTF schemes.
The group pointed out alarming statistics: over 1.21 lakh applications are still pending for the 2024–25 period, and only 40 out of 1.54 lakh applications were approved last year. This delay has left many students unable to access their certificates or continue their education due to unpaid fees.
The Minister promised to address this issue promptly by coordinating with relevant departments. SIO emphasized that providing scholarships on time is crucial, not just as financial aid but also as a matter of justice and educational rights for disadvantaged students.
