Medak district is witnessing an exciting municipal election scenario. Out of 18 municipalities, six towns face a hung situation where no party has a clear majority. Both Congress and the BRS are working hard to secure chairmanship positions, engaging in behind-the-scenes efforts to gather support from other parties.

In areas like Indresham, independents have allied with the BRS, strengthening their position. However, the results in other towns are still pending as the elections are set for tomorrow.

The BJP has unexpectedly gained importance, especially in Narsapur and Jinnaram. In Narsapur, Congress holds six seats, BRS five, and BJP four. The BJP has offered to support a major party in return for the chairmanship role. Similarly, in Jinnaram, BJP’s backing could be crucial, making them a key influencer.

Close contests are also seen in Zaheerabad and Isnapur. In Zaheerabad, BRS leads with 15 seats, while Congress follows with 14. Congress is trying to win over three independents, believed to be former Congress members. In Isnapur, ex-officio votes are critical, with focus on the support of Medak MP Raghunandan Rao.

The final results depend on the chairmanship elections tomorrow, February 16, as political strategies reach their peak.
