Hyderabad: On Monday, the Special Court for Public Representatives in Nampally dismissed charges against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and ten other BJP leaders.
The charges were related to an event in 2021 when Sanjay, then the BJP state president, visited wood purchase centers in Nalgonda district. Authorities had accused them of unlawful assembly and obstructing public service under Sections 143 and 183 of the Indian Penal Code.
Bandi Sanjay’s lawyers had filed a petition to dismiss the case, arguing that the charges were unwarranted.
This decision ends a legal matter that had persisted for almost four years.
