Indian boxers Nikhat Zareen, Nitu Ghanghas, and Manisha Moun have all advanced to the quarterfinals of the Mahindra IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships with dominating victories. Nikhat, the defending champion in the 50kg category, won her pre-quarterfinal bout against Mexican pugilist Fatima Herrera by unanimous decision. Nitu and Manisha also secured commanding Referee Stops Contest (RSC) wins in their respective matches. Lovlina Borgohain, Sakshi Choudhary, Nupur Sheoran, and Saweety Boora are the other Indian boxers who have already secured their places in the quarter-finals. The prestigious event is witnessing the participation of 324 boxers from 65 countries fighting for titles in 12 weight categories. The quarterfinals will be played on Wednesday.
