The ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 is expected to start on October 5 and end on November 19, with the final taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, according to a report by ESPNcricinfo. A total of 12 venues have been shortlisted for the tournament, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, and Mumbai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently seeking necessary clearances from the Indian government and trying to obtain a tax exemption and visas for the Pakistani national team cricketers. India has played nine ODI matches, six T20Is, and four Tests in the first three months of 2023, but the focus has always been on the ODIs. The ongoing series against Australia will be India’s last engagement at home over the next few months before the World Cup.
