Rahul had injured himself while trying to save a boundary and had to be taken off the field. Despite returning to bat when his team was in trouble, he did not look comfortable at the crease. The picture of Siraj hugging Rahul has gone viral on social media.

In the same match, RCB defended a modest 126 and beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs. Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma picked two wickets each, while Siraj, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel took one wicket each to bowl out Lucknow for 108 in 19.5 overs.
