TTD alerts security staff after a leopard is spotted on Tirumala pedestrian route

After a gap of almost ten months a leopard was spotted on the Tirumala pedestrian route by the forest rangers of the Seshachalam forest.

On the morning of August 24th, a TSRTC electric bus caught fire in Begumpet, Hyderabad. The incident occurred as the bus was on its way to pick up passengers from the Begumpet bus stop. Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the rear of the bus, prompting them to call emergency services. The fire was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported. However, the incident has raised concerns about the safety of electric buses and the need for proper maintenance and training.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest that it may have been due to a battery malfunction. Electric buses rely on large lithium-ion batteries to power their motors, and these batteries can be prone to overheating and catching fire if not properly maintained or if damaged. This incident highlights the need for regular inspections and maintenance of electric buses to ensure that they are safe for both passengers and drivers.

This includes implementing stricter maintenance protocols and providing additional training to drivers and maintenance staff. As electric buses become more prevalent in cities around the world, it is essential that proper safety measures are put in place to prevent accidents and ensure that passengers can travel safely and with peace of mind.
