Former Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of misleading the people of Telangana. Speaking at an Aatmiya Sammelanam in Bhadrachalam, Reddy claimed that KCR had promised to provide Rs 100 crore for the town, but had failed to deliver on this pledge. Reddy also criticized KCR for announcing Rs 10,000 crore in aid for the town after it was hit by floods, but failing to release any funds eight months later. He accused government officials and elected representatives of leaking question papers for the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and claimed that KCR’s family was benefiting unfairly from government resources. Reddy announced that he would soon be joining a political party and that his main aim was to prevent KCR’s party, BRS, from winning a third term. He also stated that Dr Tellam Venkatrao would be contesting the Bhadrachalam Assembly segment in the upcoming elections.
