On Thursday, a case of ragging occurred at Tirumala Dental Pharmacy College, located on the outskirts of Bardipur in Ditchpalli mandal of Nizamabad district. The incident involved Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree third year male students harassing second year female students, who subsequently lodged a complaint with the police. The victims reported being beaten by some seniors with sandals and being forced to provide their address and personal details. They further claimed that the students’ behavior had escalated from sexual violence to mental violence.

The parents of the female students have alleged that since the freshers’ party, their daughters have been subjected to harassment, rioting, and terrorizing by the senior students. Sudarshan Reddy, the father of one victim student, has called for strict action to be taken by the government against the hooligan students. The college management has been accused of supporting the harassing students.
