How to Receive Talambralu of Sitarama at Your Doorstep with TSRTC
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced that it will offer a new service for devotees during the Sri Rama Navami festival. The much-revered ‘Talambralu’ of Sri SitaramaKalyanotsavam, which is held at the Sita Ramachandraswamy temple in Bhadrachalam, will now be delivered to the devotees’ doorstep. This service was launched by TSRTC MD, VC Sajjanar, who paid Rs 116 to Business Head (Logistics) P Santosh Kumar and received the receipt for the first booking.
With the support of the Telangana Endowment Department, TSRTC is making arrangements to deliver ‘Talambralu’ to the homes of the devotees. Devotees can register their details at nearby TSRTC Cargo parcel centres and pay Rs 116 for the service. The staff will deliver the ‘Talambralu’ after the celestial wedding.
Bhadradri Sri Sitarama’s Kalyana Talambralu is considered very special. Millions of grains of rice are peeled with a sieve and used in the Kalyanam for many years as Talambralu. Last year, TSRTC delivered Talambras to around 89,000 devotees, earning Rs 71 lakh. In view of last year’s demand, this year too, TSRTC will deliver them to the devotees.
The Talambralu can be booked at all TSRTC cargo parcel counters across the State. For more information on this service, one can contact TSRTC Logistics Department phone numbers – 9177683134 or 7382924900 or 9154680020.
