Hyderabad: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Friday held a conference with food security authorities as well as AMHOs at the GHMC head office. She notified that there were several accusations versus the food security authorities as well as their neglect in examining the stores circle-wise under the GHMC.
During the conference, the Mayor stated that several accusations are originating from corporators as well as individuals with the food security authorities that they are not taking rigorous steps to avoid contamination. She stated that food things must be examined, as well as examples must be accumulated from all stores.
She mentioned “Due to lack of inspection of the food items sold on the footpath, people are getting sick by consuming such food. She directed the officials to submit the daily report of the day-to-day inspections and samples taken by the food safety officials.”
She stated that 22 food security police officers as well as 2 Gazette Food Inspectors are functioning under GHMC, though there are numerous grievances. “The steps will be taken to form a mobile team on food adulteration with AMHOs, veterinary officers, food safety officers to prevent the adulteration.”
Mayor routed them that the participants of organizations of grocery store stores as well as various other organization organizations must be alerted to stay clear of offering faulty as well as subpar active ingredients. Similarly, the Mayor routed the Chief Veterinary Officer to take rigorous activity versus those offering meat without accreditation.
