KCR commemorates the birth anniversary of Doddi Komaraiah

On Monday, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, paid tribute to Doddi Komaraiah on his birth anniversary. Komaraiah was the first martyr during the Telangana Armed Struggle period and played a significant role in the fight for Telangana self-rule. The Chief Minister stated that Komaraiah’s sacrifices would be remembered forever and that his spirit of consciousness continued to inspire the second phase of the Telangana movement.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s efforts to commemorate the sacrifices of Telangana Martyrs and fulfill their aspirations. He mentioned the government’s focus on safeguarding the traditional occupations of Backward Classes (BCs) and extending all kinds of assistance to them. The development and welfare programmes implemented by the state government have strengthened the rural economy and contributed to the economic self-reliance of Golla Kurmas through the Sheep distribution programme.

KCR emphasized that most of the beneficiaries of the schemes implemented by the government are BCs, and their progress has paved the way for social progress. The slew of schemes, including the construction of Atma Gaurava buildings, Aasara pensions, and Rythu Bandhu, has increased the self-esteem and economic respect of backward communities.

The Chief Minister also announced that the government was ambitiously constructing ‘Amara Jyothi’ in memory of Telangana Martyrs, which will be inaugurated soon. To mark the sacrifices of Doddi Komaraiah, the state government was officially organizing his birth anniversary and death anniversary programs and paid great homage to the Telangana armed struggle hero.
