The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, laid the foundation stone for the Hare Krishna Heritage tower in Kokapet, Narsingi. The tower will be a significant cultural tourism attraction in the region and contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding communities. The State government will provide a donation of Rs 25 crore to support the construction of the temple.

During the ceremony, KCR emphasized the importance of a peaceful society in securing the future of the nation. He believes that peace can be derived from prayers at religious structures, and the upcoming tower should serve society in both devotional and social ways. KCR also praised the Hare Krishna Movement for its collaboration with the Telangana Government through the Akshaya Patra Foundation, which serves hot, wholesome, and sanitary meals to individuals across various strata.

The tower will showcase Telangana heritage with Kakatiya, Chalukya, Dravidian, and other ancient styles. It will cost Rs 200 crore and is expected to be completed by 2028. The tower will house temples of Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Venkateshwara Swamy and feature the latest technology like a hologram and laser projection to attract visitors. Other amenities include a museum, library, multi-vision theatre, and halls for spiritual and cultural education.

ISKCON Bengaluru president Madhu Pandit Das hailed the CM for his vision in economic and spiritual growth in Telangana. The Chairman of Hare Krishna Movement (HKM), Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, and President HKM, Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, were present at the ceremony.
