KCR government in deep slumber leaves farmers in tears

On Wednesday, Congress leader Batti Vikramarka spoke to the media in Yadagirigutta. He said that the days of the KCR government are numbered. He compared this to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha emerging from a pillar to defeat the demon king Hiranyakashyap. Vikramarka believes that people will come out of their houses and elect good leaders, teaching KCR a lesson. He criticized KCR for behaving like a dictator and becoming intoxicated with power. Vikramarka is currently on a People’s March padayatra, which has been going on for 48 days. He believes that people will bring the Congress party back to power for pro-people governance.

Vikramarka and his family visited the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple and offered their prayers. He also showed support for the auto-rickshaw drivers association, who have been protesting for 45 days to gain permission to drive up the hill. Vikramarka criticized the State government’s indifference towards farmers and pointed out how neighbouring Congress government in Chhattisgarh was giving Rs500 more than the minimum support price for every crop to farmers. He believes that if the government had responded in time, farmers would not have incurred huge losses following inundation in market yards where they brought their harvest. Vikramarka also criticized Minister Gangula Kamalakar for not being concerned about farmers slipping into financial distress due to dithering by the government on the procurement process. He questioned why arrangements were lacking under the BRS government, which appeared to be in deep slumber.
