    On 27th July 2021, the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development of Telangana, K. T. Rama Rao, inaugurated a rice mill constructed by Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries in the state. The rice mill, located in the village of Peddapalli, has been built under the Dalit Bandhu scheme, which aims to empower Dalit families by providing them with financial assistance and support to start their own businesses.

    The Dalit Bandhu scheme was launched by the Telangana government in May 2021, with the aim of providing financial assistance of up to Rs. 10 lakh to each Dalit family in the state.
