KTR of Telangana takes a dig at BJP, denies Modi's role as Adani's broker

Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, is the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development in the Telangana government. Recently, KTR took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and denied Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role as Adani’s broker.

The controversy started when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of being a “middleman” for industrialist Gautam Adani in the purchase of land in Gujarat. According to Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi had facilitated the sale of land to Adani at a much lower price than its market value. The Congress leader also alleged that PM Modi had waived off penalties worth Rs. 40,000 crore owed by Adani to the Gujarat government.

However, KTR came out in defense of PM Modi and denied the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi. In a tweet, KTR said, “I have known PM @narendramodi ji for over a decade now. He is a man of integrity and honesty. He has never been a middleman for anyone, let alone Mr. Adani.”

KTR also took a dig at the BJP and accused the party of spreading false propaganda. He said, “It is unfortunate that BJP resorts to such baseless allegations and propaganda. They should focus on governance and development instead of indulging in mudslinging.”

The controversy surrounding PM Modi’s alleged role as Adani’s broker has been going on for quite some time now. While the Congress has been accusing PM Modi of favoritism towards Adani, the BJP has been dismissing the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.

Gautam Adani is one of India’s richest businessmen and heads the Adani Group, which has interests in ports, logistics, mining, and power generation, among others. The group has been in the news recently for its controversial coal mining project in Australia’s Queensland state, which has faced opposition from environmentalists and indigenous groups.

In conclusion, KTR’s defense of PM Modi and denial of his alleged role as Adani’s broker is significant in the current political climate. It shows that the TRS is not willing to be drawn into the BJP-Congress rivalry and is focused on governance and development. It also highlights the need for political parties to refrain from spreading false propaganda and instead focus on issues that matter to the people.
