Ellanthakunta Sri Sitaramachandraswamy Devasthanam, a famous shrine located in Karimnagar district, is gearing up for the celestial wedding of Lord Rama. The Sitarama Kalyanam, which is a significant event in the temple’s calendar, will take place on Thursday. The temple, also known as Apara Bhadradri, Karimnagar, is decorated with electric lights and vibrant colors to mark the occasion. Last year, around 90,000 devotees attended the ceremony, and this year, the number is expected to rise.

The officials have made elaborate arrangements for the event. The Kalyana Mandapam has been reserved for donors and VIPs, while temporary sheds have been set up for ordinary devotees to watch the Kalyanam. Additionally, huge sheds and canopies have been arranged to avoid any trouble to the devotees. Facilities like drinking water, medical facilities, and toilets have also been provided.

Jammikunta Cotton Mills and Para Boil Rice Mills owners have arranged annadanam for about 30,000 devotees. Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar have made arrangements for the distribution of buttermilk to devotees. Free buses will also be arranged from Jammikunta to Ellanthakunta for the devotees coming to the fair.

The temple EO K Sudhakar has informed that all arrangements have been made for Sri Sitarama Kalyanam under the supervision of special officer Chandrasekhara Rao. Massive security measures are being taken under the auspices of the police department, and traffic will be controlled within the boundaries of the temple.

Apart from Sri Sitarama Kalyanam, other religious events like Surya Rathotsavam (small chariot) on Thursday, Chandra Rathotsavam (big chariot) on Thursday, and Sri Pushpayagam on Saturday will also take place. The ceremony will be attended by Minister Gangula Kamalakar, Government Whip MLC P Kashik Reddy, along with many prominent people and public representatives.
