Mahbubnagar: 228 copper coins of Nizam period located in Balanagar
Mahbubnagar: As several as 228 copper coins of Nizam period were located throughout the excavating trenches in Nandaram town of Balanagar mandal on Monday.
Going right into the information, the employees from Nandaram town were offered the jobs of excavating trenches along with the road under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee plan in Nandaram town. While they were excavating the planet, they came across an unforeseen prize of copper coins of Nizam duration.
Soon after the news of searching for of the old copper coins spread out, the Balanagar tahsildar promptly hurried to the area together with professionals and also authorities from the Revenue division and also checked the excavating of the location as well as likewise checked the area of excavation.
“As per the information from the MGNREGS workers at Nandaram village, we visited the area and tried to find out the region of excavation and digging of the finding. We have taken the 228 copper coins found in the digging sent it to the Archeological department for further investigation of the findings. It is learned that the copper coins are of Nizam period, however, we are not sure the exact period when these coins were in use. Only the archeological experts will give more inputs on the findings,” claimed Srinivas, Balanagar mandal tahsildar.
