The AICC has chosen Priyanka Gandhi to monitor the activities of TPCC in Telangana. She has already held meetings with some senior leaders to review the party’s performance and group politics. Priyanka will also meet unhappy senior leaders and ask them to strengthen the party for the upcoming Assembly elections. The party high command plans to create new committees by July this year. Priyanka will attend a public meeting in Hyderabad on May 4 or 5, followed by touring districts. During her district tours, she will meet targeted sections and assess the ground situation, as well as visit Congress activists’ houses to discuss local leaders’ performance. Based on this, changes in poll strategies may be made if necessary.
