    The State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) is a crucial component of India’s disaster management system. It is a fund that is set up by the central government and the state governments to provide financial assistance to states in the event of a natural calamity. The SDRF is used to provide relief and rehabilitation to people affected by disasters such as floods, earthquakes, cyclones, and landslides.     Recently, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), has come under criticism from his political opponents for the state’s lower contribution of 25% to the SDRF compared to the Centre’s 75% share.
