Residents panic after explosion at Cable Bridge near Manair Dam.

The Manair River Front project, which involves the construction of a 2.6 km platform with a depth of three meters from the Manair dam to the cable bridge in Karimnagar, has raised concerns among residents due to the blasting being carried out as part of the works. The blasting is being done to remove stones and rocks, and residents of nearby areas are being bombarded with loud noises and vibrations. Some buildings in the Housing Board Colony near Alugunoor main road have been damaged, and residents are afraid that old buildings may collapse. The excessive blasting has also caused extreme noise pollution, affecting the lives of people in the area. Social workers have raised concerns about the safety of the cable-stayed bridge being built as part of the project. However, mining officials have assured that the entire blasting system is being monitored by the police department and is in accordance with the Explosives Act of 1862. Appropriate measures need to be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of residents until the works are completed.
