The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Main Hospital located in Kothagudem, Khammam has been facing criticism from its workers due to the lack of medicines in its store. The workers have expressed dissatisfaction with the management’s decisions and have alleged that the management is not taking any interest in the welfare of the company employees. The workers have been suffering due to the unavailability of medicines for the last three months and have been forced to purchase them from outside.

The Singareni main hospital is the primary healthcare facility for the employees, and every worker from all areas receives health services and medicines here. However, due to the lack of stock of essential medicines in the store, workers suffering from sensitive diseases like BP and sugar have been facing difficulties. The workers have appealed to the company and management to keep all types of medicines in the store available to each worker.

He further stated that the workers’ health is deteriorating due to the unavailability of medicines in the store. He also highlighted that not only working employees but retired workers also suffer from this issue.

The management had referred some workers for better treatment in corporate hospitals in Hyderabad.
