    The chairman of the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO), Y Satish Reddy, has urged gated communities in the state to install solar panels on their rooftops to save energy. The government is promoting green energy, and Reddy said that installing solar panels is the first step towards making gated communities safer and environmentally friendly. He spoke after opening a 250 kW solar plant at Fortune Tower in Madhapur, a gated community that has become an inspiration for others to follow. It is the first gated community in Telangana to have a 250 kW solar plant.

    Reddy also spoke about the rise in sales of electric vehicles in the state and encouraged gated communities to set up EV charging stations for their members’ benefit. Others present at the opening included Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, REDCO vice-chairman and managing director N Janaiah, and Telangana Solar Association president Ashok Goud.
