Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao have extended their greetings for the Ugadi festival, also known as the Telugu New Year. In her message, the Governor stated that Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope, and that the New Year brings with it new cheer and a bright future. She extended her warmest greetings to the people of Telangana and to the Telugu people across the world, expressing confidence that the new year will bring peace, prosperity, harmony, health, and happiness to all people and sections of society.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao expressed hope that Ugadi, which is considered an agricultural year, will bring good fortunes to farmers and people in all fields. He highlighted that Telangana is flourishing with abundant irrigation water, drinking water, and green crops. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of developing the agriculture sector, its allied sectors, and strengthening farm professions to sustain Telangana’s rural economy. He also noted that the progress achieved by Telangana has become a role model for the country and expressed hope that Telangana and India will achieve further development in the New Year.
