The Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, inaugurated a paddy procurement centre in Dharmapuram village under Devaruppula mandal in Jangaon district on Thursday. Rao spoke at Atmeeya Sammelanam programmes in Sitarapuram and Dharmapuram villages, where he emphasized that Telangana’s model of development is preferable to Gujarat’s. He also urged people to support Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and teach a lesson to the BJP and Congress parties, which are trying to stall the state’s growth. Rao highlighted schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Aasara pensions, Kalyana Laxmi/Shadi Mubarak as models for other states to follow. He also mentioned the success of irrigation facilities through Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) and 24-hour uninterrupted power supply in making agriculture a festival in the state.

Rao praised the development in Palakurthi constituency, including Mission Bhagiratha’s drinking water supply, Mission Kakatiya’s replenishment of tanks, and road construction. He criticized the BJP-led Central Government for not supporting Telangana and interfering with the state’s growth. Rao assured BRS cadres that they could approach him if they faced any difficulty. Finally, he finalized the site for the conduct of Palakurthi constituency-level plenary at Devaruppula.
