Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) is introducing major changes to boost student well-being and engagement in junior colleges. Following instructions from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Board declared on Tuesday that all Intermediate students will now have weekly sessions for sports, yoga, meditation, and hands-on laboratory work.

Secretary Krishna Aditya led a key meeting to finalize this decision, stressing the need for emotional growth and stress-free learning. Colleges must now add these activities to their timetables. The Secretary promised to oversee their implementation by visiting campuses.

To improve discipline and safety, all labs must now have CCTV cameras. Additionally, the Board is offering a special one-day admission opportunity on Wednesday, September 17, for students who encountered technical issues during the initial registration.
