Traffic jams on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway during Dussehra festival

Heavy traffic has hit the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway as many people head home for the Dussehra festival. Vehicles are stuck in long jams, especially from Hayathanagar to Vijayawada, barely moving at all.

Adding to the problem, floodwaters have covered the bridge at Gourelli in Abdullapurmet mandal. This has stopped all traffic there. Authorities have put up barricades at the bridge, and locals are warned about the danger.

At the same time, traffic is also slow at the Uppal intersection. Recent rain has made the situation worse. Drivers should be careful and use different routes if they can.
