Hyderabad: The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India organized the 2025 EducationUSA University Fair in Hyderabad on Monday.
A variety of students and parents attended, eager to learn about undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in the United States.
Consul General Laura Williams emphasized that the institutions present offer top-tier programs in every field, including STEM, business, humanities, and arts. She acknowledged the significant commitment involved in studying in the U.S., highlighting the investment of time, money, and effort. She expressed happiness at seeing so many attendees connecting with U.S. institutions to find suitable programs.
Williams also pointed out that being an international student is a privilege with significant responsibilities. She mentioned that obtaining a U.S. student visa requires showing intent to adhere to U.S. laws, stressing that the United States maintains zero tolerance for legal violations, including by students.
Participants had the chance to engage directly with representatives from U.S. universities. They explored admission criteria, scholarships, and campus life. EducationUSA advisers and U.S. Consulate officials provided insights into the student visa process. Williams remarked that EducationUSA offers precise, comprehensive, and impartial guidance to help students select the right university and manage the application process confidently, all free of charge for students and their families.
