Hyderabad faced intense rainfall on Thursday, leading to major flooding throughout the city and nearby regions. The rain started in the evening and lasted until midnight, causing significant water buildup, especially in low-lying areas where many houses were flooded.

The heavy rain resulted in severe traffic jams on key roads, making life difficult for locals. Due to the rising water levels in Himayat Sagar Reservoir, authorities decided to open its gates to release water into the Musi River. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials have alerted those living near the Musi River to stay safe and call 040-21111111 for help.
