A police officer in Hyderabad named SI Girish Kumar has been suspended for misbehaving with a woman. The Cyberabad Commissioner, Avinash Mohanty, ordered the suspension after an investigation revealed that the officer followed the woman to the police station and acted inappropriately after getting her phone number. The suspension was issued on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the woman, who works as a beautician, filed a cheating case at the Miyapur police station. She claimed that her friend had taken Rs.6 lakhs from her for a business venture but had not returned the money. The case was resolved when the accused paid back the money. However, during this time, SI Girish Kumar mistreated the woman. Feeling harassed and chased, she directly complained to the Commissioner of Police, which ultimately led to the officer’s suspension.
