Aleru (Yadadri-Bhongir): The state government is focusing on giving women more economic opportunities, according to Government Whip and Aleru MLA Beerla Ilaiah. He spoke during the Indira Mahila Shakti Celebrations at the YSN Function Hall in Aleru on Thursday. The District Rural Development Department organized the event, with attendees like MLC Nellikanti Satyam, District Collector Hanumantha Rao, and Additional Collector Bhaskar Rao.
Ilaiah emphasized that women are central to every state welfare scheme. He mentioned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aims to transform one crore women into millionaires. Women receive priority in housing, welfare loans, and economic programs.
Initiatives include interest-free loans, 50% of IKP centers for women, free bus travel, Rs 200 of free electricity, and gas cylinders for Rs 500. Ilaiah also shared plans for petrol stations, Mahila Shakti canteens, and solar power projects for women’s groups. Collector Rao affirmed the government’s dedication, highlighting women’s roles as contractors in Amma Model Schools and their involvement in projects like petrol stations, uniform stitching, and grain purchasing.
In the program, cheques were given out, including Rs 1.44 crore in interest-free loans to SHG members, a Rs 10 lakh accident insurance cheque to a deceased member’s nominee, Rs 51.77 crore in bank loans for women in the Aleru constituency, and Rs 11.53 lakh in loan insurance claims to SHG members.
MLC Nellikanti Satyam emphasized that true development comes from women’s progress. The event saw active participation from officials, community leaders, and hundreds of women.
