The White House has announced that Covid-19 vaccine requirements for travelers to the United States and for government employees will end on May 11. The decision comes as Covid-19 deaths have declined by 95 percent in the US since January 2021. Vaccine requirements have encouraged vaccination across the country and have saved millions of lives. President Joe Biden also officially called an end to the national health emergency in April, which had been in place for over three years and included funding for free Covid testing and vaccinations.
