NATO is worried that Russia might target undersea cables and other important infrastructure to disrupt western countries. The intelligence chief of NATO, David Cattler, said that there is a higher chance of Russia sabotaging undersea cables to punish western nations for supporting Ukraine. He also stated that the Russians are more active in this area than they have been in years. NATO is concerned that Russia may do this to gain leverage against countries that are helping Ukraine. Cattler said that the Russians are patrolling the Atlantic more actively than in recent years.
