Baltej Singh, who is related to the assassin of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, has been arrested in New Zealand for selling drugs. The police raided a property in Manukau and found large amounts of methamphetamine hidden in beer cans, leading to the arrest of Baltej Singh. He is the nephew of Satwant Singh, who, along with Beant Singh, assassinated Indira Gandhi in 1984. Baltej Singh’s father, who is also Satwant Singh’s brother, became the proprietor of a real estate firm named Ray White and bought a house worth more than Rs 100 crore, which raised suspicion among people close to them. Baltej Singh is currently imprisoned and undergoing trial for drug peddling.
