10 kg of contraband gold seized by DRI in foiled illegal transportation operation.

Officers from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) caught two people transporting illegal foreign gold at the Venkatachalam toll plaza in Nellore district. The officials found 7.798 kg of gold hidden under the car seat. The police interrogated the suspects in the car and found an additional 2.471 kg of gold in Hyderabad. The authorities arrested the carriers and the person who was supposed to receive the gold and sent them to judicial remand.
