Hyderabad: In a heartening effort to support animal welfare, a special adoption event for street dog puppies was held by the GHMC’s veterinary team at KBR Park on Sunday. Animal enthusiasts showed great interest, leading to the adoption of 16 puppies.

Dr. Abdul Wakil, the Chief Veterinary Officer of GHMC, stated that each adopted puppy received a rabies vaccination. New pet owners were provided with vaccination records to help them keep track of future care. Dr. Wakil also encouraged adopters to visit the Animal Care Centre when their pets reach the right age for Animal Birth Control (ABC) surgery, highlighting the importance of responsible pet ownership and controlling the pet population.
